It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford 6 a side league this week overall, although we did have a couple of teams missing owing to the Bank Holiday weekend. We look forward to seeing all teams back as normal this week as we get back to normality following the summer holidays.
Following their non-attendance, Leavemyarselona have been removed from the league due to a lack of numbers moving forward. We welcome new team Inter Yermam to the league as their replacement, and wish these good luck going into their debut game on Sunday 3rd September in Division One!
In the Premier League division, 01543 FC faced off against FUB FC, dominating the match with a resounding 5-1 victory. FC G&T narrowly edged out Norfolk N Chance in a thrilling encounter, securing a 3-2 win. new boys PBDL FC fought valiantly but fell short against Team Maestro, who emerged victorious with a close 2-1 scoreline.
The Division 1 matches were equally intense, with AC McCann displaying their prowess by defeating Fatletico III with an impressive 5-0 triumph. The Crow-Knees clashed with Snorting Wizbon, and after a nail-biting contest, emerged as the winners with a slim 3-2 margin.
In Division 2, Hednesford U5s encountered a formidable opponent in BARELY ATHLETIC, who proved their might with a convincing 5-1 victory. Bar Snort FC put up a commendable fight but ultimately succumbed to Paralympiacos with a 2-1 scoreline. Young Dumb And Filled Wycombe faced an uphill battle against Expected Toulouse, who secured a comprehensive 4-0 win.
Among the standout performers of the week was Shaun Walker from Ayden FC. Walker's exceptional display of skill and contribution to his team's success earned him the title of the league's most valued player. His remarkable performance showcased his talent and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on the pitch.
