Sunday 28th April - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches for the opening night of the campaign, including our three new sides who joined the action.


The evening was ignited with a dazzling display of skill and teamwork in the Premier League. Murder On Zidanes Floor faced a tough start to their season, going down 4-1 against reigning champions FC G&T. 01543 FC managed to edge Norfolk N Chance 4-2 in a tightly contested match which kept spectators on their toes till the last whistle. AC McCann claimed victory over Snorting Wizbon with a narrow 2-1 finish, demonstrating their determination to start the season on a high note.


In another exciting Premier League matchup, BARELY ATHLETIC outperformed league debutants Real Miners F.C., securing a 4-2 victory. The final game of the night saw Street FC battling it out with Diadora FC, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw, leaving both teams eager for their next encounter.


Turning to Division 1, Bar Snort FC claimed a narrow 1-0 victory against another debutant team in Burntwood Dragons. FUB FC succeeded in defeating Jobbas Warriors 2-0, while Kane Cobras FC fought hard to secure a 2-1 win over Hednesford U5s. In an exciting showdown, Sky Blue Army emerged victorious over the final debutant team Six Offenders with a 3-1 win. The final Division 1 clash saw Adi Cannock clinch a 3-2 victory over What Divock.
