Sunday 29th September - Cannock Round-Up
It was another good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions, and some well competed matches played!
In the Premier League division, excitement was high as 01543 FC clinched a 3-1 victory over What Divock. Burntwood Dragons set the bar high with a clean 3-0 sweep against Street FC, marking a solid start to their season run. But it was a nail-biting fixture between Real Miners F.C. and Diadora FC that really stole the show in a 5-5 draw that showcased both teams' scoring prowess. Rounding up the Premier League action, the match between Norfolk N Chance and Murder On Zidanes Floor also ended in a 3-3 deadlock, setting the stage for a highly competitive season ahead.
On the Division 1 front, WeKanteWin edged Bar Snort FC 3-2 in a closely fought match, while Still Haven’t Got One Yet made a strong opening statement with a decisive 4-0 win over BARELY ATHLETIC. Hednesford U5s secured a 3-1 triumph over DaBoyz, whereas Glass On Grass and FUB FC battled it out to a 2-2 draw.
