Sunday 2nd September - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening overall in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league, we were however disappointed to see second cancellations from 'FC Twente Benson' and 'First Choice FC', both of which have now been removed from the league immediately.  Jingz FC also cancelled but return as normal on Sunday 9th September.

On a positive note, we were delighted to welcome new team 'Corneto'o FC' to the league who were a late addition.  They were unfortunately beaten convincingly at the hands of Dynamo Fuktherest, going down 10-0 in their opener.  They will be dropped to Division One for the next round of fixtures.

In other action, it would take a lot for 'Pique Blinders' to relinquish the title now you would think, this after they went three points clear of second placed FMFB who lost 4-2 against Karius to Glory.  Pique went about their business and a disciplined performance yielded a 2-0 win against Kevnes.

In Division One, Sporting Lesbians won 4-0 against Team Maestro to stay top of the league.  Quality Operators were beaten 4-1 at the hands of Queensville Rejects which brought Skank Ya Wo We back into the mix, after they won 3-0 against Hardly Athletic!

It promises to be an interesting week in Division One which could be pivotal to the final standings as the top four all play each other this weekend!  Top of the table Sporting Lesbians play fourth placed Queensville Rejects as Skank Ya Wo We in second play against Quality Operators.
