It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league overall. We were however disappointed to see non-attendances from Bosnich Boys and Per Vertesacker, both of which have now been removed from the league.
On a positive note, we welcomed new team Jobbas Warriors to the league this week, they played out a well competed game for their debuts, losing out to league leaders FC G&T 4-0.
In the Premier League, 01543 FC emerged triumphant with a 5-1 victory over Barely Athletic. Despite early struggles, 01543 FC dominated the field and displayed an impressive offensive strategy. This victory has bolstered their position in the league, much to the delight of their fans.
The surprise of the night, however, came from Diadora FC who clinched a narrow 2-1 victory over AC McCann. Meanwhile, FC G&T showcased their football prowess with a 4-0 clean sweep against Jobbas Warriors. Snorting Wizbon also managed a commendable 3-1 win against Murder On Zidanes Floor.
In Division 1, FUB FC secured a 3-2 win against Bar Snort FC in a thrilling game. The match between Hednesford U5s and The Crow-Knees was a tense affair, ending in a goalless draw. Kane Cobras FC edged out Street FC 3-2 in a nail-biting match while Norfolk N Chance dominated their game against Sky Blue Army, winning 2-0.
Although every player gave their best, the top scorers of the week stood out. In the Premier League, it was 01543 FC's striker with an impressive hat-trick. In Division 1, Norfolk N Chance's forward secured their win with an outstanding double goal.
