Wednesday 10th May - Cannock Round-Up

Welcome to the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league match reports for game week 11 at the 5's Pavilion and Sports Ground. This week's matches provided thrilling entertainment as teams battled it out for their respective positions in their leagues. Let's dive straight into the results!


In the Premier Division, Exeter Gentley faced off against Belt Road in a high-scoring game. Despite their best efforts, Exeter Gentley failed to hold off Belt Road, who secured a 4-2 victory. The game between Phil My Teet and Bangladesh FC was tightly contested, but it was Banglasesh FC who emerged victorious with a 4-2 win. In a thrilling game between Athletic Bilswan and Newstead FS, the teams put up a strong fight, but it was Newstead FS who came out on top with a narrow 5-4 victory. Oriental Delight and Ideal FC played out a draw with a final score of 4-4. With the top four teams separated by just one point, this division is heating up!


In Division One, Double Pogba and Coke took on Donk II and managed to secure a 5-2 win. Mable's Spartans put up a strong fight against Shameless 6! but were unable to overcome them, ultimately losing 4-3. In a highly anticipated battle between Cat Zouma and Nutmeg City, it was Nutmeg City who came out on top, taking over the top spot in the league with a 2-1 victory.


In Division Two, Norty Badgers had a hard-fought game against Snorting Lisbon, but managed to secure a 4-3 win. Champagne Super Rovers, currently sitting in second place, proved their worth with a dominant 4-0 victory against Strongbow Unathletic. Shady FC secured a convincing 5-0 win over Hstikkytokky, while Demba 9 Ba, currently league leaders, continued their winning streak with a 4-1 victory over DCF United.


In Division Three, OB City, league leaders, put in a strong performance against 6Men1Cup, winning 7-2. No Name FC, sitting in second place, faced off against Unathletico Madrid and secured a 3-1 victory. Baldeaux and Ball of Duty played out a high-scoring game, with Baldeaux ultimately emerging victorious with a 7-5 win. Finally, Wyld Stallyns faced off against Limes FC and secured a 4-1 victory.


In Division Four, Five Ways secured a 4-2 victory over Wycombe Tit Village, while Haven't Got One Yet, currently in second place, narrowly beat Netsix N Chill with a final score of 3-2. Newolvabora, league leaders, put on a strong performance against Hednesford City, securing a 4-1 victory. Finally, Cannock Town United FC secured a 3-1 victory over Limes FC 2.
