It was another fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures, including four new teams who started with us this week!
NTS Vilains went straight into the Premier Division and although they showed some promise in their performance, they came up against an experienced Oriental Delight who ran out eventual 5-0 winners. Something to build on for the new side though with a result that doesn't necessarily reflect the performance.
In Division One, Tile Rite Terriers were another new side to the league and having never played before, were getting to grips with everything in their first game, they were beaten soundly 8-0 by Ideal FC but will be looking to improve week on week as they get a feel for it.
Drumsticks FC in Division One showed some promise in their luminous pink kits, 2 late goals sealed a 3-0 win for Oriental Delight but this was more even than the scoreline reflects.
The final newbies of the evening The Cesc Pistols started off in Division Five. They were beaten 3-1 by Capri Sun who climbed up to fourth place with this result.
We wish all teams good luck going into the fixtures on Wednesday 18th August with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football.
