It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night, including two new teams in Division Two, Champagne Super Rovers and Pique Blinders, who played their first matches with us. Champagne putting in a superb performance in their debut game to claim a 2-1 win over Fountain, whilst Pique Blinders also looked competitive despite losing out 2-1 to Double Pogba and Coke.
In the Premier Division, league leaders Exeter Gently fought back from 2 goals down to come back and beat Cat Zouma 3-2 with a late penalty sealing the points for them, they move four points clear of second placed Nutmeg who were beaten 3-2 by Athletic Bilswan in another entertaining game. Fourth placed Phil My Teet had to settle for a point as they were held to a 2-2 draw by a dogged Mable's Spartans who bid for survival, whilst Ideal FC got back to winning ways as they ran out 3-1 winners over Banglasesh.
In Division One, Oriental Delight made it a perfect ten this week as the top v bottom clash against Limes threw up few surprises, the leaders running out comfortable 8-1 winners. Second placed Belt Road continued their promotion quest as they were 4-2 winners over Shameless 6, moving them a further point clear of third placed Newstead FS who had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Winding Wheel. Fourth placed Duppie White Delights held their nerve against Traff FC to claim a 2-1 win as they stay fourth but move level on points with the team above them.
Division Two leaders Donk II look unstoppable in their bid for the title this season, a 4-1 win over a recently improved Demba 9 Ba sees them stay three points clear of the competition as they secured their ninth win in ten. Third placed Baldeaux remain right in the mix to go up after they were 3-1 winners over Limes FC 2.
The top of Division Three looks like it will go to the wire, as the top four teams are separated by just two points. Such is the closeness in the table, 6Men1Cup dropped from top to fourth with a 3-2 defeat to Shady FC who move above them into third. Strongbow now have the lead after a 5-0 win, whilst HStikkytokky went into second after a rampant 7-1 win over strugglers KFC Wimbledon. Ball of Duty stay fourth but right in the mix after they edged past Wyld Stallyns by 2 goals to 1.
OB City stay top of the pile in Division Four as they stay unbeaten after game week 10, they secured the points this week with a 2-1 victory over Fiveways, a result which moves theme three points clear of second placed No Name FC who suffered a 4-3 loss to Cross Bar-celona. Haven't Got One Yet leapfrogged their opponents Newolvabora into third after a comfortable 4-0 win against their rivals to complete the action.
