It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring a handful of cancellations due to the Aston Villa Champions League game. We thank all teams who couldn't attend for letting us know and look forward to seeing the league return to normal next Wednesday 19th March.
In the Premier League division, the night belonged to Donk II as they secured a comprehensive victory against Toby Minton FC with a scoreline of 5-1. The match between Wheely Bad FC and Romasexuals ended in a thrilling draw of 4-4. However, the most nail-biting encounter was between Exeter Gentley and NUTMEG CITY, with the latter edging past Exeter Gentley by a narrow margin of 3-2. Another close match saw Jimmy Sevilla FC narrowly defeat IDEAL FC 3-2.
The Division 1 saw no dearth of action either. TomBolas FC and ORIENTAL DELIGHT provided a gripping match that ended with ORIENTAL DELIGHT winning 3-2. Clarence F.C. emerged victorious against GRAY'S SPARTANS with a score of 4-2.
In Division 2, Murder On Zidane's Floor stunned Malt Fc with a 14-0 win, while GERIHATRICKS defeated LIMES FC 3-1. Inter Mibreath also secured a win against Restored V2 with a score of 2-0.
In Division 3, Rubber Ducks Fc lost to Chaddy WFC 0-4, while Victor Moses Lawn and Strongbow Unathletic ended their match in a 3-3 draw. BPK and Limes FC 2 match ended with a scoreless draw.
The Division 4 saw a tight match between Baldeaux and The Pitmen, with the former emerging victorious with 2-0. Funny Innit beat Cals U6s by 5-3, while BBK beat Net-six And Chill by a narrow margin of 1-0.
