Wednesday 12th September - Cannock Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance across all five divisions and some entertaining matches played!  

Congratulations to FC Crescent who wrapped up the Premier Division title with one game to go, this after an impressive 4-2 victory over When Harry Met Alli.  Heath Hayes and Nutmeg are still battling it out for second place as we go into the final matches.

Also well done to Only Fools & Scorers who won Division One after a hard fought 3-1 win over third placed Oriental Delight, who they had to beat or they would've been caught on points!  Three teams are still in the mix for second place this week.

Boca Seniors and Linwood Raiders will be playing Division One football next season as neither can be caught by third place. Boca Seniors must win to guarantee the title this week.

Any one of three from Tap Tap, Mable's Spartans and No Weimann No Cry could still take the title in Division Two in what makes for an exciting final round of fixtures.

Finally, in Division Three Jazz Shack need to avoid defeat going into the final match to ensure they win the title, We're Gonna Lose are poised to snatch it if they do slip up,  both are guaranteed promotion regardless though after they ran away with the league between them.
