It was another fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions.
As many would've guessed by the league standings, there was nothing to choose between AFC Heath Hayes and Teachings of Jon who played out a goalless draw this week. Heath Hayes superior goal difference is the only thing that separates the two, who are now four points clear of the competition. Old Boys move up to third and above Nutmeg City who they beat 3-1, whilst Baldeaux sit in fourth place following their 4-2 win over bottom placed Up The Chase. Pork Vale climbed out of the bottom two, at the expense of this weeks opponents Ideal Standard who they beat 5-2. Only one point separates third and seventh in a congested division.
The top of Division One makes for interesting reading as just two points separate four teams. Cheddar Ball go top at the expense of Oriental Delight who drop to third, this after the two met and Cheddar edged them out 3-2. FC Crescent move into second place after a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilboat, whilst Real Ale Madrid moved off the foot of the table and boosted their survival hopes after a 3-2 win over Boca Seniors. Bottom team Newolvabora were beaten 2-1 by Strongbow Unathletic.
Division Two is a league split in half as the top four are separated by just two points and the bottom half fight for survival. Nash FC move top of the pile after an entertaining 6-3 win over Belt Road, whilst Tower move above We're Gonna Lose and into second after they beat them 3-1. Tap Tap were 2-1 winners over The Mix whilst The Mighty Mariners won the battle of the bottom two as they beat Peahead Dave 5-3.
In Division Three, Shameless 6 were beaten 1-0 by fourth placed The Barns who move to within two points of the top this week as the division tightens up. Maradona Kebab are now joint top after a 4-0 win over Fiveways, whilst Sovereign FC sit third after beating Jazz Shack 3-1. Not a Kalou remain pointless as relegation looks a certainty after they were beaten 2-0 by Mables Spartans.
Trafalgar's relentless march to Division Three continues as they top Division Four , there was no let up this week as they thrashed 6 Yard Club 7-1, moving 5 points clear of the competition as second placed Haven't Got One Yet were beaten 1-0 by Lad's United and third placed Wyld Stallyns also lost by the same scoreline to Pepe Pig. First Choice and out of Shape played out a 1-1 draw in the final game of the night.
