Wednesday 17th July - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good start to the season in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled.


In the Premier League Division, Ideal FC made an impressive opening statement, securing a 5-2 victory over Oriental Delight. Jimmy Sevilla FC also kicked off the season with a strong 3-1 win against Borrussia Teeth, while Romasexuals dominated their match against Donk II with a clean 5-0 victory.


Division 1 saw some intensely competitive play as well. Nutmeg City edged a 1-0 win over Clarence F.C. while Albert Sloshers squeezed a 2-1 victory against Mable's Spartans. Wheely Bad FC and Newstead FC also began their season on a winning note, beating Murder on Zidane's Floor and TomBolas FC respectively.


In Division 2, Shameless 6! bagged a 2-1 win over FC G&T while Baldeaux clinched a 3-2 win against Double Pogba and Coke. Stonnall FC and Limes FC battled it out to a 1-1 draw.


The competition in Division 3 heated up as Limes FC 2, Strongbow Unathletic and Barmy Army managed to secure wins against Norton Wanderers, Bilbao Baggins and Real Sociopaths respectively.


Meanwhile, in Division 4, Wyld Stallyns and Gerihatricks started the season with wins over Five Ways and Haven't Got One Yet respectively, whereas Demba 9 Ba and Hotel Thiago ended the game with a 2-2 draw.
