Wednesday 19th February - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall.  We did have a handful of teams missing due to the Aston Villa v Liverpool game but anticipate the league returning to normal from next week.

In the Premier League, NUTMEG CITY managed to edge out Donk II in a tense 2-1 victory that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Jimmy Sevilla FC faced off against Romasexuals, with both teams leaving the pitch with a 1-1 draw. Exeter Gentley emerged as the dominant force in their match against Wheely Bad Fc, scoring a stunning 6-1 victory.

Over in Division 1, FC G&T put up a commanding performance against ORIENTAL DELIGHT, coming away with a 6-2 win, while Clarence F.C and TomBolas FC ended their game with a 1-1 draw.

In Division 2, LIMES FC triumphed over Demba 9 Ba with a 5-2 victory, and Restored V2 came away with a 4-1 win over Murder On Zidane's Floor.

Division 3 witnessed a high-scoring game between Limes FC 2 and Rubber Ducks Fc, ending at 8-2. Hotel Thiago gave a brilliant performance against Strongbow Unathletic, finishing the game at an impressive 9-1. FIVE WAYS defeated Chaddy WFC 2-0, while Victor Moses Lawn narrowly won against BPK 1-0.

In Division 4, Cals U6s secured a 6-2 win against Baldeaux, while Stuck In The Mud Fc beat Net-six And Chill 3-0. BBK and The Pitmen shared a point each, as did Funny Innit and Under My Cucurella, with both games ending in 1-1 and 2-2 draws respectively.
