It was another superb evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night barring a cancellation from Newolvabora who we thank for calling and look forward to seeing return on Wednesday 27th February.
There was a shock result in the Premier Division as Teachings of Jon's perfect record was brought to an abrupt end by Up The Chase who ran out 5-1 winners in a thoroughly deserved result, this opens the door for AFC Heath Hayes who are now just a point off them following their 3-1 victory over Nutmeg City. Old Boys also looked good this week as they won 2-0 against Pork Vale, in a thoroughly professional performance, they sit level with Baldeaux who are third as they beat Ideal Standard 2-1.
Oriental Delight were deserved 3-0 winners over AFC Crescent as they remain top of Division One, a point ahead of Cheddar Ball FC. Athletic Bilboat sit in third place following their 3-0 win over Real Ale Madrid, whilst Strongbow move up to fourth place, ahead of Crescent after they brushed aside Bocaseniors 4-2.
Nash FC were 4-1 winners over The Mix as they stay at the top of Division Two, dropping just one point this season. We're Gonna Lose are well placed in second spot after edging out Peahead Dave 2-1 in a very well competed encounter. Meanwhile TapTap were biggest winners of the night as they thrashed Mighty Mariners 7-2 to go level on points with third placed Tower FC who lost 1-0 to Belt Road.
Shameless 6 pulled another point clear at the top of Division Three after a 6-2 thrashing of Jazz Shack whilst The Barns were held to a 1-1 draw by Maradona Kebab leaving them 2 points off the pace, a result which allowed Soveriegn FC to go third (above Maradona) as they thrashed Not a Kalou 5-1. Mables Spartans completed the action in the division with a 4-1 victory against Fiveways.
Trafalgar FC top Division Four after this weeks fixtures, they were 2-0 winners in their game against First Choice, whilst Haven't Got One Yet were held to a 1-1 draw by fourth placed Pepe Pig. Wyld Stallyns now sit in third place but were made to work for their win by 6 Yard Club, 2-1 the final result. Lads United and Out of Shape played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the fourth match of the night.
Good luck to all teams as we go into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football.
