It was another excellent evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being Lads Dads and Kebabs who had to cancel and have unfortunately had to withdraw immediately.
It was a meeting of last season's champions and Runners-Up in the Premier Division this week and both have had opposite starts to the season this time round. Oriental Delight won their third game in a row as they triumphed 5-1 against Teachings of Jon who remain pointless after three. Athletic Bilboat also won their third straight game but fell one place on goal difference as they edged past Snorting Wizbon 2-1. AFC Heath Hayes won an entertaining encounter against Strongbow Unathletic by 4 goals to 3 as they sit in third place, whilst Tower FC's 3-2 win over Pork Vale sees them sit halfway.
Maradona Kebab were 3-1 winners over Ideal Standard to move into third position in DIvision One whilst Misfitz were involved in another entertaining encounter as they beat Up The Chase 4-2, there is never a dull game involving them as they've now scored 11 and conceded 12 in just three games.
Pub? were in impressive form in their match against The Mix who they comfortably beat 4-1 to take their place at the top after three games, knocking Banglasesh into second place after they lost a 10 goal thriller 6-4 against First Choice FC. Third placed Boca Seniors were 3-1 winners in their meeting with Delph and Safety who slipped into the bottom two. Finally, The Barns inflicted a 4-0 defeat on to The Trogs as they played their first game in the league.
Peahead Dave sit on maximum points after three matches in Division Three, they were in impressive form against Fiveways who they beat 3-2, a result which probably didn't do their performance justice. Wyld Stallyns sit in second place after a third consecutive 2-1 victory to start the campaign, this week overcoming Allthegearnoidea and Kezza FC moved into third with a 3-2 win over Newolvabora. Finally, Mables Spartans picked up their first points of the campaign after they won an entertaining encounter with The Jazz Shack 4-3.
6 Lovely Guys from Penkridge and Shameless 6 lead the way in Division 4 with both maintaining 100% records so far. Both meet in week 4 in a clash where someones record, if not both will be tarnished. Lads United sit handily placed in third after a second win in three games, this week saw them record an impressive 5-1 victory against Haven't Got One Yet. Out of Shape put their first points of the season on the board as they edged past Corneto'o FC 2-1.
