Wednesday 21st September - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance barring Banglasesh FC and Wyld Stallyns, both of which return to action on Wednesday 28th September.

We are delighted to welcome new team Smokehouse Club De Futbol to the league and we wish these good luck going into their game on Wednesday 28th September as they go into Division One.  There is now just ONE PLACE AVAILABLE so any new teams are urged to sign up now and avoid missing out whilst we offer FREE ENTRY WORTH £25 to the next application.

Ideal FC had a perfect evening as their lead at the top of the Premier Division extended to four points following an impressive 4-3 win over Exeter Gently, coupled with Cat Zouma's narrow 2-1 defeat against Mable's Spartans it puts them in the driving seat to take the title this season with just four to play!  Fourth placed Oriental Delight were 4-1 winners over Athletic Bilswan, whilst Newstead FS keep their survival hopes alive following a 5-1 win over Shameless 6, who look in trouble with four games to play as they now sit three points from safety.

Division One saw only one league game take place this week due to team absence but it was a well competed game, as Phil My Teet were 3-0 winners over Coggers, a scoreline which was rather harsh on the losers who competed well throughout in a fast paced game.

Limes FC stay top of the Division Two table following a 2-2 draw with Demba Ba who slip to third after Cesc Pistols got a 6-2 win over Strongbow, whilst fourth placed Leavemyarsealona gave themselves a boost in their promotion hopes after they got a 5-2 win against Duppie White Delights.

Division Three leaders Limes 2 lost the battle of the top two and now sit just a point ahead of Return of the Shack who put in a superb performance to run out 3-1 winners.  Third placed Double Pogba and Koke lost ground on the promotion spots though as they were beaten 4-2 by an experienced Pique Blinders.

Division Four leaders 6 Men 1 Cup remain three points clear at the top of the table as they were impressive 5-1 winners over OB City, whilst second placed Ball of Duty edged past third placed Fiveways by 1 goal to nil to move 2 points ahead of their opponents.  Fourth placed Haven't Got One Yet and The Pitmen shared a point a piece in a ten goal thriller which ended 5-5 as Cross Bar-celona put in a good performance to gain a hard fought 3-1 win over Deportivo La Cannock to move up a place to sixth.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 11 with Cannock's premier small sided football providers.
