It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall. We were however disappointed to see non-attendances from Jam Jams and WebbLikesFattys, both of which have now been removed from the league with immediate effect.
On the pitch, in Premier League action, Oriental Delight succumbed to a narrow 3-2 loss against Donk II in a match that was on a knife-edge throughout. However, the highlight of the division was Jimmy Sevilla FC's absolute rout of FC, crushing them 9-0 in a brilliant display of skill and teamwork.
In Division 1, Ideal FC demonstrated their steel against Clarence F.C., securing a 2-0 victory. Newstead FC, on the other hand, handed out a thrashing to Baldeaux, ending the game with an astonishing 11-1 scoreline. The match between Nutmeg City and Bangladesh FC ended in a 2-2 draw, showcasing the well-matched competition in this division.
Division 2 saw Barmy Army falling to Double Pogba and Coke 6-3, while TomBolas FC edged past Bilbao Baggins 3-1. Albert Sloshers squeezed out a win against Shameless 6! by a single goal. Mable's Spartans snatched victory from Wine Bar FC, finishing at 4-3.
Moving on to Division 3, Limes FC registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Strongbow Unathletic. The game between Real Sociopaths and Norton Wanderers ended in a 1-1 draw. In a high scoring match, Wheely Bad FC clinched victory from CrossBarcelona 7-4.
In Division 4, FC G&T routed Wyld Stallyns with a 5-0 victory. Haven't Got One Yet triumphed over Limes FC 2 finishing with a scoreline of 2-0. The tightly contested match between Cancel It FC and Hotel Thiago ended evenly at 2-2.
