It was another excellent evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions as scheduled and some entertaining matches on display.
Teachings of Jon stay at the summit of the Premier Division after an entertaining match against Old Boys in which they ran out 4-3 winners. AFC Heath Hayes keep the pressure up though following a 4-0 win over Pork Vale who stay in the bottom two. Ideal Standard sit third but were made to work for their win this week as they squeezed past Up The Chase by a single goal. Nutmeg City move up to fourth place and leapfrogged Baldeaux with a convincing win over them, 6-0 the final result.
Oriental Delight top Division One and remain unbeaten after 7 games, their latest result a comprehensive 4-1 over Strongbow Unathletic who sit fifth. Cheddar Ball and Real Ale Madrid played out an entertaining 3-3 draw which sees Cheddar remain in second spot, but they fall another point off top place following this. FC Crescent looked on fine form and were clinical in front of goal as they beat Newolvabora by a convincing 5-1 scoreline with a flurry of late goals. Athletic Bilboat sit in third place following their 3-1 win over Bocaseniors.
The top two of Division Two stays the same as Nash FC won 6-5 against Mighty Mariners in a thrilling affair, whilst We're Gonna Lose overcame The Mix with a convincing 5-1 win. Tower FC were 5-2 winners against Peahead Dave who remain in the bottom two. Whilst Tap Tap and Belt Road focused solely on outscoring each other, a battle that TapTap ran out 7-5 winners against Belt Road.
Shameless 6's impressive form continues in Division Three, they hammered bottom of the table Not a Kalou 7-2 to remain two points clear of second placed Maradona Kebab who also won again this week, 3-1 against Sovereign FC. Mables Spartans were the biggest movers this week as they went up three places following an impressive 5-0 win over Jazz Shack. Fiveways also beat The Barns by the same scoreline to record their second win of the campaign.
Trafalgar FC remain top of Division Four following another victory, they beat Pepe Pig 5-2 and have still only dropped one point so far this campaign. Second placed Haven't Got One Yet are only a point off the top though and beat 6 Yard Club 4-0 this week. There was also a 2-0 win for Wyld Stallyns over Out of Shape, Stallyns sit in third and are currently chasing down the top two. Meanwhile it was honors even between mid-table sides Lads United and First Choice FC as it ended 1-1 as these two met.
