It was another superb evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions.
Teachings of Jon are back on the top of the Premier Division after an impressive performance this week which saw them run out 3-1 winners over Nutmeg City who are now hovering just above the drop zone. Heath Hayes dropped off the top after a surprise 6-2 defeat against mid-table Ideal Standard. Old Boys remain in third place after they won 3-1 in their match against Up The Chase who are now all but relegated. Fourth placed Pork Vale put Baldeaux into the drop zone after beating them convincingly by 6 goals to 1.
Cheddar Ball FC continue their march towards promotion after they beat Strongbow Unathletic 3-0 in a professional performance, whilst second placed Oriental Delight remain on their tail after a dominant 7-2 win over Boca Seniors. Athletic BIlboat remain in third and just off the pace of the top two after a 3-1 win over Newolvabora who now look nailed on for relegation as the games run out. FC Crescent lost ground on the promotion places as they were frustrated by a depleted Real Ale Madrid side, the game finishing goalless.
There was a change of places at the top of Division Two as Nash FC dropped to second place after a shock 3-0 reverse at the hands of Peahead Dave who move off the bottom but still look unlikely to stay up. We're Gonna Lose go to the top of the table on goal difference after their 8-1 win over Mighty Mariners. Tower FC stay on the periphery of the promotion spots after their impressive 5-1 win over Tap Tap, and Belt Road moved above The Mix into fourth after they won 3-0 when the two met.
It was a big night at the top of Division Three as Shameless 6's third game without a win led to them dropping out of the promotion places, they were beaten 5-3 by Maradona Kebab who now go to the top of the table, whilst The Barns sit second following their 7-0 win over new team Tiny Kodjias. Fourth placed Sovereign FC are still well in the hunt for promotion too as they ran out 2-1 winners over Mables Spartans.
Trafalagar FC dropped points for only the second time this season after a 2-2 draw with second placed Wyld Stallyns, who stay in the top two after third placed Pepe Pig were held to a 1-1 draw by First Choice FC. Haven't Got One Yet are now well in the promotion hunt after they won 2-0 against Out Of Shape, moving to the same points as second and third. 6 Yard Club picked up an impressive 4-1 win over Lads United.
