Wednesday 28th August - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night, the only exception to this being Manresa who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Wednesday 4th September.

In the Premier League division, Donk II demonstrated exceptional skills, securing a 4-2 victory over Oriental Delight. However, the real highlight was Bangladesh FC's nail-biting finish with a 3-2 win against Jimmy Sevilla FC. Indeed, an evening to remember for the Premier League fans!

Moving to Division 1, Wheely Bad FC and NUTMEG CITY demonstrated commendable performances. Wheely Bad FC decimated Clarence F.C. with a decisive 4-0 victory. Meanwhile, NUTMEG CITY showcased their prowess with a clean 2-0 win against TomBolas FC. The most significant game of the night was undoubtedly Murder On Zidane's Floor versus Albert Sloshers, ending with a 6-2 scoreline.

In Division 2, FC G&T made a significant impact with a 6-3 victory over Double Pogba and Coke. Stonnall FC, however, couldn't match Baldeaux's intensity, succumbing to a 7-3 defeat. However, the commendable play by Toby Minton FC to secure a 4-2 victory over LIMES FC was a sight to behold.

Action in Division 3 was equally enthralling. Limes FC 2 and Real Sociopaths put on a strong show. Limes FC 2 clinched a 2-0 win against Bilbao Baggins, while Real Sociopaths and Norton Wanderers ended in a 1-1 draw, showcasing their closely matched skillset.

Division 4 saw an exciting match between Demba 9 Ba and Wyld Stallyns, with Wyld Stallyns emerging victoriously with a 6-2 scoreline. Hotel Thiago narrowly secured a win over Cancel It FC with 1-0, while Stuck In The Mud FC achieved a 3-1 victory over Haven't Got One Yet.

We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier providers of small sided football!
