Wednesday 3rd April - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week for the beginning of the new season.  We did have cancellations from WebbLikesFattys and Haven't Got One Yet, and also Exeter Gently and One Pitch One Love, but we look forward to seeing all back in attendance for next week.

Rizz Kings have been removed from the league following their cancellation.  Creating a space for a new signup.  Any interested teams can join now and book an immediate start in Division Two!


In the Premier League, BoJollys signalled their intent with a strong 4-2 victory over Jimmy Sevilla FC, while Romasexuals also started brightly by defeating Donk II with a clean sheet of 2-0. Both these teams have laid down an early marker in what promises to be a fiercely contested top-tier division.


Down in Division 1, IDEAL FC fell just short against Borrussia Teeth with a thrilling 2-1 scoreline, while a high-scoring match saw NUTMEG CITY best Clarence F.C. 4-2. Newcomers Banglasesh FC impressed with a dominant 6-2 triumph over Newstead FC, while Baldeaux secured a solid 3-1 win against Toby Minton FC.


Division 2 saw a goal-fest between Shameless 6! and Barmy Army, with the latter emerging victorious with a 6-3 win. MABLE'S SPARTANS and Albert Sloshers also got their campaigns off to a winning start.


In Division 3, the standout result was a high-scoring clash where Wheely Bad Fc beat Strongbow Unathletic 9-5, while Norton Wanderers got their season off to a flying start with a 7-0 victory over CrossBarcelona.


Division 4 witnessed a dominant performance from FIVE WAYS, with a resounding 8-0 victory over Wyld Stallyns. Cancel It FC also notched up a convincing 7-2 victory over Limes FC 2.
