Wednesday 3rd January - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

Overall it was a good return to action in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week as we came back for 2024.  We were pleased to see all teams in attendance for their matches and some well competed matches played across all divisions!

In the Premier League Division, Donk II emerged victorious with a 3-0 win against Newstead FC, while One Pitch One Love outclassed Toby Minton FC with a staggering 10-3 score. The closely contested match between Jimmy Sevilla FC and Athletic Bilswan ended in a 2-1 victory favoring Jimmy Sevilla FC. Completing the Premier League's high-octane action, Exeter Gentley triumphed over ORIENTAL DELIGHT with a solid 4-0 scoreline.

In Division 1, IDEAL FC narrowly edged out Heath Haze in a 3-2 thriller, while Clarence F.C. toppled Borrussia Teeth with a close 3-2 win. NUTMEG CITY edged DOUBLE POGBA AND COKE 3-2, and Romasexuals bested Shameless 6! in a 5-3 encounter.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, UnAthletico Madrid defeated Baldeaux 4-1, and BoJollys registered a spectacular 9-0 win against Demba 9 Ba. The match between TomBolas FC and MABLE'S SPARTANS ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

The excitement continued in Division 3, with RIZZ KINGS beating Strongbow Unathletic 3-0, and Hednesford City securing a narrow 1-0 win over Haven't Got One Yet. GETAFE ME MASON got the better of Real Sociopaths with a 7-3 win, and Skank Fc triumphed over LIMES FC 5-3.

In Division 4, Wyld Stallyns crushed Cancel It FC 5-1, and Limes FC 2 squeaked past Wycombe Tit Village 2-1.
