It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week with a vast majority of teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some cracking matches played. It was unfortunate that three teams had to cancel their games. Newstead FS and Norty Badgers will return on 10th May, and Fountain have been replaced by new team 'Wheel FC', who we wish good luck in their debut game against The Winding Wheel! Overall, it was a day filled with intense action and some great displays of football.
In the Premier Division, Banglasesh FC clashed with Exeter Gentley in a thrilling match that saw both teams play with grit and determination. However, it was Exeter Gentley who emerged victorious with a score of 5-3, leaving Banglasesh FC feeling deflated. Belt Road and Athletic Bilswan played a closely contested game which ended in a 3-3 draw. Ideal FC had a tough time against Phil My Teet, who defeated them 3-1.
In Division One, Double Pogba and Coke were up against Cat Zouma in a game that turned out to be a one-sided affair. Cat Zouma played like champions and defeated their opponents 7-2. Nutmeg City played against Shameless 6! in another high-scoring game, with Nutmeg City coming out on top with a 6-3 victory. Mable's Spartans won a narrow 1-0 victory over The Winding Wheel FC in their debut match.
In Division Two, Hstikkytokky and Demba 9 Ba played out a thrilling 3-3 draw. DCF United struggled against Champagne Super Rovers and lost the game 2-0. Snorting Lisbon played brilliantly and emerged victorious with a 4-1 win over Shady FC.
In Division Three, No Name FC defeated Wyld Stallyns 2-0 in a game that saw them dominate from start to finish. Limes FC had a hard-fought game against Baldeaux, but managed to come out on top with a 3-2 victory. Ball of Duty suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of 6men1cup, who won the game 5-2. OB City were in fine form as they defeated Unathletico Madrid 4-1.
In Division Four, Limes FC 2 suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Newolvabora, who played exceptionally well. Hednesford City dominated Netsix N Chill, winning the game 4-0. Haven't Got One Yet won convincingly against Wycombe Tit Village with a scoreline of 5-0. Five Ways had a tough day at the office as they were beaten 6-2 by Cannock Town United FC.
