Wednesday 5th September - Cannock Round-Up

It was an excellent evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions and some quality football on display.  It was battle of the top two teams in three divisions this week which meant some very competitive matches were played as we head to the business end of the season.

There was a surprise result in the Premier Division with AFC Heath Hayes hammering FC Crescent 6-1 to put themselves in with an outside chance of claiming the title.  They are still three points behind Crescent though with only two games remaining so it would take a meltdown reminiscent of Liverpool in 2014 from top of the table for this to happen!

In Division Two, Boca Seniors ran out 3-1 winners against Linwood Raiders to go to the summit, can they stay there for the final two weeks? 

It's as you were in Division Three after Jazz Shack and We're Gonna Lose battled out a 1-1 draw to keep Jazz Shack 2 points clear at the top.
