It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent matches played across all five divisions.
Teachings of Jon have a nice 3 point cushion between them and second place as they won again this week, making it 4 in a row. They were 3-1 winners over a struggling Nutmeg City this week. AFC Heath Hayes sit in second place after they edged past Ideal Standard 2-1.
Meanwhile new team Old Boys are showing signs that they could be in the shake up at the end of the season, they were 6-1 winners over Up The Chase this week, their second big win since joining, the acid test will be next week when they come up against experienced AFC Heath Hayes.
Pork Vale and Baldeaux played out an entertaining match in the fourth game of the Premier Division this week in which Vale were 3-2 winners and sit in third place as they chase another title.
Cheddar Ball sit at the top of Division One and were very impressive 8-2 winners over Strongbow Unathletic this week who now slip to fourth place. FC Crescent and Oriental Delight remain on their coat tails though as they sit level on points. Crescent 3-1 winners over Real Ale Madrid as Oriental drew 2-2 with Bocaseniors.
Newolvabora registered their first points on the board this season as they ran out eventual winners over Athletic Bilboat, it wasn't plain sailing for them though, 3-2 the full time score.
Nash FC go top of Division Two after a 5-2 drubbing of Peahead Dave, they go above Tower FC who were beaten 3-0 by TapTap who rise to fourth but go level on points with their opponents. We're Gonna Lose sit in between those two in third as they smashed Mighty Mariners 6-1, whilst The Mix and Belt Road completed the action with an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Shameless 6 dropped their first points of the season in Division Three but remain top (just about), they were beaten 3-0 by an impressive looking Maradona Kebab, a result which blows the table wide open as just 2 points separate 6 teams!
Haven't Got One Yet sit at the summit of Division Four after demolishing bottom of the table Out of Shape 8-0, boosting their goal difference enough to stay above Trafalgar FC, who would've been expecting to go top after a 5-0 win.
First Choice FC sit on the periphery of the top two as they edged past Pepe Pig by a single goal in their meeting, whilst Lads United and 6 Yard club played out a 1-1 draw as they cancelled each other out.
Best of luck to all our teams going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football.
