Wednesday 8th January - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week.  There were a couple of cancellations from teams but we are confident in getting things back to normal for game week 2.  We thank the vast majority of teams for their commitment in attending in very cold conditions!

In the Premier League, Wheely Bad Fc made a strong start by defeating Donk II with a 2-0 scoreline. Toby Minton FC and Exeter Gentley left it all on the pitch, ending the match in a 3-3 draw. Romasexuals showed their scoring prowess against IDEAL FC with a 3-2 victory, while Jimmy Sevilla FC dominated NUTMEG CITY with an impressive 4-1 win.

In Division 1, TomBolas FC lost a close one to Banglasesh FC, with only one goal separating the two teams at 2-1. Schlupp Matip and Clarence F.C held each other to a stalemate with a score of 1-1. ORIENTAL DELIGHT made an outstanding run to win 7-2 against DOUBLE POGBA AND COKE, while MABLE'S SPARTANS experienced a narrow defeat to FC G&T in a thrilling 3-2 showdown.

Division 2 saw Shameless 6! edge Demba 9 Ba by 2-1 and Norton Wanderers overpowering GERIHATRICKS with a stunning 5-1 victory. Murder On Zidane's Floor and Inter Mibreath ended their match with a 1-1 draw.

In Division 3, Strongbow Unathletic shut out FIVE WAYS in a 2-0 show of strength, while Limes FC 2 defeated Hotel Thiago 3-1.

In the final Division 4, Under My Cucurella fell 3-1 to Baldeaux. Funny Innit triumphed over The Pitmen 3-1, and Stuck In The Mud Fc dominated Six Men In Cider with a resounding 5-1 win.
