It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all 40 teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across all five divisions.
Nutmeg City were in unrelenting form this week as they as they thrashed Mables Spartans by a 9-0 scoreline, a result which drops Mables into the relegation places. Banglasesh and Ideal FC both climb a place in the table as the two shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, whilst Exeter Gently remain in second spot after a 3-1 victory against Athletic Bilswan, they stay two points off the leaders. Elsewhere, Cat Zouma made it three wins in a row as they dispatched Shoal Hill Tavern by 5 goals to 2.
Division One leaders Nutmeg City got their ninth win on the bounce and did so in style this week as they thrashed Blewitt FC by a 16-4 scoreline in a freak game. Shameless 6 remain second and were 5-2 winners over Romasexuals this week, keeping them two points clear of third placed Newstead FS who were 2-1 winners over 5-Ways FC. Randybinmen left it late to dispose of Baldeaux this week, a last gasp goal gave them a 1-0 win, a result which moves them out of the drop zone at the expense of their opponents.
Division Two has got a lot tighter at the top after this weeks action, leaders SMC FC were beaten for the first time this season as Leave My Arsealona put in a superb performance to run out 3-1 winners. Inter Yanan were given a shock too as they dropped out of the top two following a 6-1 humbling against Strongbow Unathletic. Traff FC capitalised on these two results to move joint top after they thrashed Cesc Pistols 4-1. Completing the action was the battle of the bottom two, as Huntington FC got their first points of the season on the board by thrashing Limes FC 5-1.
Division Three has a new leader as Demba 9 Ba went to the summit this week after an impressive 6-1 thrashing of third placed Newolvabora, whilst Wyld Stallyns drop to second spot after being held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla Lacatalent. Fourth placed Double Pogba and Koke were also shocked by sixth placed Limes FC 2 who thrashed them by 5 goals to 1 this week, meaning results really couldn't have gone much better for Demba Ba. Five Ways won the basement battle and moved off the foot of the table at the expense of Cross Bar-Celona who they beat by a single goal.
Division Four leaders Pique Blinders continue their rich vein of scoring form this season, they hammered The Pitmen by an 8-1 scoreline to give their goal difference a welcome boost. They continue to be shadowed by HStikkytokky in second place, they were 6-0 winners over Deportivo La Cannock this week to stay a point off the top. Third placed Ooff FC lost ground on the promotion spots after a 2-0 reverse to Ball of Duty who move into fourth place, whilst Haven't Got One drop to fifth place after a 2-2 draw with 6 Men 1 Cup.
