It was another fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Wednesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across five divisions which was pleasing to see.
AFC Heath Hayes were emphatic 8-2 winners against last seasons champions Teachings of Jon who've had a tough start to the campaign losing two of their first three matches, a result which moves Heath Hayes to the top at this early stage. FC Crescent are also on five points after three games as they sit second following an entertaining 3-2 victory over Old Boys. Cheddar Ball drop to third place but only on goal difference, they were involved in a 4-4 thriller against Oriental Delight, whilst Pork Vale and Ideal Standard also shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw as the Premier Division shapes up well this season.
We're Gonna Lose remain on maximum points from the opening three matches in Division One, they were made to work hard though this week in a thoroughly entertaining clash with Boca Seniors in which they emerged 5-4 winners. Nutmeg City were held to a 0-0 draw by Nash FC as they sit in second place, falling a point off the leaders. Athletic Bilboat move into fourth place and level on points with this weeks opponents Tower FC who they beat by a single goal, whilst Up The Chase moved out of the drop zone at the expense of their opponents Baldeaux who they beat 2-1.
In Division Two, Strongbow Unathletic recorded a third straight victory, a 2-1 win over Newolvabora their latest result. There were also wins for The Barns and Tap Tap who remain second and third respectively, just a point off the pace. Whilst Belt Road climbed out of the bottom two with an impressive 4-2 victory over new team Corneto'o FC.
Misfitz and The Jazz Shack remain in the top two places in Division Three, and there was nothing to choose between them this week as they were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Mighty Mariners and Peahead Dave also recorded victories as they sit third and fourth respectively. Pepe Pig were the big winners of the night with a 7-2 victory against Mable's Spartans who remain at the foot of the table.
Fiveways recorded their third straight win in Division Four as they were involved in another entertaining encounter, they ran out 6-3 winners against 6 Yard Club, thus knocking Haven't Got One Yet off the top of the table as they were held to a goalless draw by Lads United. Wyld Stallyns and Tiny Kodjias drew 2-2 and Out of Shape and First Choice FC also shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of matches with Cannock's premier small sided football provider.
