It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exceptions being Athletico Madras and Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels, both of which will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their returns on Wednesday 16th February.
Exeter Gently moved to the top of the Premier Division this week as they won a tight game against Nutmeg City by 2 goals to 1, winning their fifth game in 6 this season. In a close division that defeat dropped Nutmeg from top to fourth as Murder on Zidane's Floor moved into second with an 8-1 thrashing of Ideal FC, and Athletic Bilswan went third with a 2-0 victory against Banglasesh as the top four are separated by just 2 points. New boys 5-Ways FC played their first game in the league this week and after a tough start in which they were 5-0 down after ten minutes, but eventually got it back to 8-3 as they got into the game.
Oriental Delight went to the top of the Premier Division with a 7-2 thrashing of Pye Green Massive, whilst Decorer FC suffered a surprise 3-2 reverse against bottom of the table Limes FC who put in a great performance to inflict the previous leaders first defeat in 12 on them. Third placed Mables Spartans made up a point on the promotion places after they drew 2-2 with Strongbow, whilst Shameless 6 and Newstead could also not be separated as they drew 1-1.
Baldeaux and Traff FC make up the top two as both got 5-0 walkovers this week, whilst Vic FC moved into third place following their 9-4 winner over Limes FC 2 in a thrilling encounter. Leavemyarsealona climbed out of the drop zone after an impressive 4-1 win over strugglers Wyld Stallyns.
Division 3 leaders Inter Yanan got their fifth win in six matches as their unbeaten start to the season continues, they beat Sevilla Lacatalent 6-3 in a result which saw Sevilla drop to third place. Cesc Pistols moved into second spot with a 3-0 victory over Five Ways who drop to fourth. Newolvabora moved up to fifth place as they picked up their second win of the season, running out 5-4 winners over Mick Bustins Boys in an end to end game. Ball of Duty and Demba 9 Ba dropped a place each to sixth and seventh respectively as they cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw.
Capri Sun stay top of Division Four but their lead drops to just a single point, after second placed Cross Bar-celona won an eight goal thriller 5-3 to bring the leaders perfect start to an abrupt end. Third placed Gangsters Allardyce continue their impressive start since joining as they were convincing 4-1 winners against Borussia Teeth, whilst HSTikkytokky climbed to fourth position with a 2-0 victory over Haven't Got One Yet. The Pitmen climbed off the foot of the table this week at the expense of their opponents Deportivo La Cannock whom they beat by a single goal to pick up their first points of the season in a hard fought game.
