Last night in Lincoln, the seventh week of the 6 a side football league concluded, featuring fierce battles from teams in both Division 1 and Division 2.
In Division 1, Show Me Da Mane put up a valiant effort but narrowly fell to CAK FC 2-1. CAK FC's defensive tactics were unmatched, as they successfully restricted Show Me Da Mane, allowing only one goal. Linwave Lions and Glory Scholes produced a thrilling match that ended in a 3-3 draw. In the other fixture, Tea And Busquets pipped Johnstoned 2-1 in a closely contested battle, demonstrating their technical supremacy and teamwork on the field.
Meanwhile, in Division 2, Ball Fiddlers FC dominated Under 12’s FC, winning the match 2-0. The Fiddlers' possession-based football kept Under 12’s FC on the back foot throughout the game. In another game, Maradona Kebab outscored Owen Coyles U40's 5-2 in what can only be described as a goal fest. Finally, Not In My Mums Forest was narrowly defeated 3-2 by Edging In Dias, in a match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.
As for the top scorers in the divisions, the players were in top form last night. In Division 1, CAK FC and Tea And Busquets emerged as the top scorers with 2 goals each. In Division 2, Maradona Kebab outshone the rest by scoring an impressive 5 goals.
