Aylesbury Thursday 5 a side end of season!
In a thrilling conclusion to the Aylesbury Thursday 5-a-side Football League, Cutlers Fc and Bog Fc were crowned champions of the Premier League and Division 1 respectively, capping 14 weeks of tense football.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, champions Cutlers FC finished the season with a nail-biting 7-5 victory over runners up Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels. In a match that saw both teams battling fiercely for every goal, Lahin Miah stood out with a remarkable performance which secured him the title of the week's Most Valued Player and the leagues Player Of The Season. His determination and skill played a pivotal role in Cutlers Fc securing an impressive total of 26 points and 13 wins in the season.
This division also saw an outstanding individual performance by Aidan Murrell from Jubs Jentlemen, who topped the goal-scoring chart with a whopping 5 goals this week in their 10-4 triumph over Fuji Fan Club and 20 overall to win the Golden Boot. Murrell's incredible scoring rate was a key contributor to Jubs Jentlemen's success during this season.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Bog Fc emerged as champions, edging out FC Dynamo in a 4-3 showdown to leapfrog them on the final day of the season. Bog FC's victory was a testament to their resilience, as they racked up 19 points and 9 wins throughout the season, Dynamo also had a great season to seal promotion to the top flight. The top scorer in this division was Non Bibs Durjan Ainkaran who scored 18 goals this season to win the Div 1 Golden Boot.
Other games in Div 1 this week W Fellas drew 3-3 with Unathletico Madrid while Non Bibs defeated Earth Wind & Maguire 1-0.
The Aylesbury Thursday League has proved to be a hotbed of local talent, and the thrilling end to this season sets the stage for an even more exciting next season.
