In a dramatic display of rivalry and skill, the tenth week of Aylesbury Thursday Football League wrapped up last night with teams from both Premier League and Division 1 participating in a fierce contest.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, the highlight of the week was an electrifying match between Jubs Jentlemen and Bowsers Barhmi Army, resulting in an 8-7 victory for Jubs Jentlemen. Aidan Murrell of Jubs Jentlemen was on fire, scoring a season-high total of 7 goals, earning him the title of the division's top scorer for the week.
Jewventus and Cutlers Fc also faced off, with Cutlers Fc walking away with an impressive 8-3 win. Fuji Fan Club and Zambian Workers battled it out in another heated match, with Fuji Fan Club emerging victorious with a score of 9-4. Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels and Watermead FC ended their game in a 3-3 draw.
DIVISION ONE
Switching to Division 1, Bog Fc bested Earth Wind And Maguire in a decisive 7-1 victory. In a tight contest between FC Dynamo and Brown Team, Brown Team edged out their rivals with an 8-5 win. Non Bibs and W Fellas battled to a 1-1 draw, while The House FC secured a 9-5 win over Unathletico Madrid. Alex Porter from Unathletico Madrid was the division's top scorer with a commendable total of 3 goals.
The highlight of the week, however, was Ethan Toon of Watermead FC, who was crowned as the most valued player. His exceptional performance throughout the league has been instrumental in his team's success and he has consistently proven his worth on the field.
The league continues to be a thrilling showcase of talent, team spirit and exciting football action. As we head into the next week, the teams are sure to deliver more heart-stopping matches for their fans.
