Watermead Wanderers smash 14 past their opponents!

Our 5 a side league on Thursday at Aqua Vale swimming and fitness centre really could have much better, the sun really did cause chaos with the weather being so nice and the beach of course sounding so appealing to many people, however the league did go on!

TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There can only be one team eligible for TOTW and of course that had to be Watermead Wanderers. These guys really turned on the class on Thursday night and smashed 14 past their opponents to win 14-1. This hugely convincing win has now pulled their rivals and league leaders back level on goal difference, so should they somehow lose their next 2 games, Watermead Wanderers could still claim league champions. Its unlikely but with this massive performance, they have put themselves in the best possible position and if  they fall short, they will be worthy runners up!

Ethan Toon - Watermead Fc - Ethan could not have had a better game or done more to ensure his team walked away with the win. With 5 goals finding the back of the net, he was more than just one level above everyone else on the pitch. Pure class from Ethan!

Adam Osgerby - Watermead Wanderers - Although Adam didn’t find the net quite as many time as his team mates, he did a superb job in ensuring his opponents didn’t find his. He even topped it off with a goal for himself
