Play in the Redditch Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In the opening week of the Redditch Sunday 6 a-side Football League, spectators were treated to an array of fantastic performances and thrilling matches across the Premier League and Division 1.

The Premier League set the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive season. Son of Pitches locked horns with Andros Townsend in a match that saw Townsend triumph with a 5-2 victory. Despite the defeat, Dan of Son of Pitches proved his mettle by topping the scoring chart with two goals. In a separate match, Bayerneverlusen put up a strong showing against ATLAS FC. The collective efforts culminated in a clean 3-0 victory, setting a positive tone to the beginning of their campaign.

Division 1, not to be outshone, also boasted its share of nail-biting action. The match between SpringMasters Athletic and Lads On Toure saw the latter take the win with a 5-3 victory, while SmalArmy and Red Legion battled it out to a 2-2 draw. Lewis Bunn of SpringMasters Athletic emerged as the top scorer for Division 1, with a single goal to his name.

The player who stood out amongst the crowd this week was Carl Mccluskey of Bayerneverlusen. For his fantastic performance, he was awarded the title of the Most Valued Player. His skill and determination were a significant factor in Bayerneverlusen's win, marking him as a player to watch this season.
