Last night marked the exciting eighth week of the Preston Monday 6-a-side football league and it was certainly a night to remember, filled with action, drama, and high-scoring thrillers.
In the Premier League, GNAC made a strong statement with a comfortable 5-2 win over AFC Tin. FC Barge dominated the Old Boys with a resounding 5-0 victory, while Preston DDRR made short work of Chamakh Ya Mother, also with a 5-0 triumph. The SamAndie’s 91s rounded off the Premier League action with a commanding 4-1 victory over FC Lea Club.
Turning to Division 1, Big Fish United cemented their place at the top of the table with an impressive 8-0 thrashing of 50 Shades Of Marc Gray. In a close contest, Mensroom edged out AFC Variety 3-2. AFC Gillingham And Cheese Sandwich pulled off an upset with a 7-4 win over MNF. Olympique Mayonnaise CF ended the night in Division 1 with a 6-4 win over Winnet FC.
In Division 2, Paralytic Athletic and Perkyboys started the night with solid wins, 4-0 over Edwins Six Offenders and 5-3 over Friargate Lions respectively. Pique Blinders squeaked by Egg Fried Riis with a tight 3-2 victory, while Ringers FC ended the night with an impressive 8-2 thumping of Taylors Victims.
