Doncaster Monday's 6-a-side football league kicked off with a bang as 20 teams battled it out for the title of champions in two divisions. With the season just starting, there was plenty of excitement and anticipation in the air as the teams took to the pitch to showcase their skills.
In Division 1, World X6 set the tone for the night with an impressive 7-1 win over Bayern Bru, while Warren Park Wanderers narrowly defeated Bubble Design FC (black) with a 1-0 scoreline. Turkish Delights (brown) registered a 3-0 win over Chaos Crew (Red/White), while Sporting Abeergut recorded a resounding 5-0 victory against Doncaster Individuals. Pepe Pig FC also made a statement of intent with a 5-0 win over Paracoense (Green).
As for Division 2, Virgin Boyz took the league by storm with a whopping 12-3 victory over Barko Boys, while Brian Munich edged past Renault Rangers (orange) with a 2-1 scoreline. Red House FC and Doncaster Town (yellow/blue) produced a thrilling 5-5 draw, while Left Wing Propaganda secured a 1-0 win over No Name FC.
In terms of individual performances, the top goal scorer in Division 1 was World X6's forward, who bagged an impressive hat-trick. Meanwhile, in Division 2, Virgin Boyz's striker was the standout performer, scoring an incredible five goals in their opening fixture.
It was an entertaining and action-packed night of football, with the teams giving their all in pursuit of victory.
