Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 18

The 18th week of the Axminster Wednesday Football League brought with it a series of breath-taking performances and thrilling encounters with teams battling it out under the floodlights, showcasing their football prowess and leaving us at the edge of our seats.

PREMIER LEAGUE

The opening match saw The Deans scrape a narrow victory over A&C Dads FC with a 1-0 scoreline. The match was a display of defensive mastery, with both teams showing great diligence but The Deans managing to edge out their opponents.

In a more one sided match, Lionel Moosey FC triumphed convincingly over Farmers Weekly with an impressive 6-1 win. Moosey FC hit the ground running and maintained their lead throughout the match, leaving Farmers Weekly with little room to manoeuvre.

Nice To Michu also recorded a significant victory, overpowering Vikings FC 4-0 in a match marked by remarkable teamwork and strategic play. Nice To Michu dominated the match from the start, leaving Vikings FC struggling to find their footing.

The action-packed week concluded with an exhilarating match between Ansu Fatties and Uplyme & Sinker, which saw the latter emerge victorious in a 4-3 thriller. It was a back-and-forth game that kept us on our toes until the final whistle.

The star of the week was undoubtedly William Hellier from Ansu Fatties, who netted a total of three goals, thus becoming the top scorer in the Premier League division this week. Hellier's exceptional performance has indeed caught the eye and has set a high bar for the upcoming weeks.

As the season progresses, we look forward to more exciting matches and spectacular performances in the Axminster Wednesday Football League.
