In an electrifying week 2 of the Axminster Wednesday Football League, teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions showcased their skills and strategies in a night filled with spectacular goals and thrilling matches.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The Premier League division saw a flurry of goals with the top scorer, Sam Davies of Green FC, netting a hat-trick and leading his team to a 3-1 victory over Parsleys Army. In another high-scoring battle, Farmers Weekly defeated Nice To Michu with a comprehensive 9-3 win to stay top. Uplyme & Sinker also triumphed with a 5-3 victory against Vikings FC, ensuring competition in the Premier League remains fierce.
DIVISION ONE
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Jacob England stood out as the top scorer, scoring an impressive four goals for Honiton Athletic. His performance heavily contributed to the team's landslide 11-1 victory over Anchors Away. Elsewhere in Division 1, The Deans managed to secure a 3-1 win against Ansu Fatties. In a match that demonstrated both solid attack and defence, The Six Offenders emerged victorious with a 5-1 scoreline against The Roy's to stay top of the table.
These latest matches have significantly impacted the league standings and clearly underlined the competitive spirit among the teams. The Premier League and Division 1 divisions games were a testament to the local footballing talent on display in the Axminster Wednesday Football League.
