Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 5

In a gripping week 5 of the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side football league, both Premier League and Division 1 saw tense matches and defining moments that will shape the rest of the season.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Farmers Weekly clinched a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Parsleys Army. The game was a nail-biter down to the final whistle with Farmers just edging it.

The next match saw Nice To Michu edge out Uplyme & Sinker with a 2-1 scoreline in what was undeniably a closely contested match. Green FC also put on an impressive performance by defeating Vikings FC 4-1, setting the stage for an intriguing next round in the Premier League.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, The Deans managed to secure a 1-0 win over Anchors Away, proving that even a single goal can bring about a victory if the defence holds strong. The Roy's and Honiton Athletic battled it out in a match that ended 3-2 in favour of The Roy's, thanks in large part to James Gould, who netted an impressive brace to become this week's top scorer in Division 1. Meanwhile, The Six Offenders came out on top against Ansu Fatties, winning the game 2-1.

With these results, the dynamics of both the Premier League and Division 1 could see significant changes in the coming weeks. As teams regroup and strategize for the next round, we will eagerly anticipate what promises to be an exciting continuation of the Axminster Wednesday League.
