Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 7

Football enthusiasts were on the edge of their seats as week seven of the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side Football League unfolded last night, with numerous teams battling it out in a showcase of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League division, Nice To Michu secured a decisive victory over Farmers Weekly with a scoreline of 4-2. This victory was largely due to the fantastic performance from Ashley Lillington, who scored two goals, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division this week. The matches between Parsleys Army and Green FC, as well as Uplyme & Sinker and Vikings FC, both ended in 1-1 draws, demonstrating the high level of competition and evenly-matched skill between these clubs.

DIVISION ONE  

Moving onto Division 1, one of the most one-sided matches of the night featured Honiton Athletic taking on Anchors Away. Honiton Athletic showed an incredible performance, defeating Anchors Away with a prolific score of 8-1. The star of the match was undoubtedly Mason, who netted an impressive four goals, earning him the accolade of top scorer in Division 1 for the week.

In other matches in Division 1, Ansu Fatties managed to edge past The Deans in a tight contest ending 2-1 in favour of Ansu Fatties. The Six Offenders also put up a strong performance against The Roy's, bagging a 5-1 victory.

As the season progresses, the competition is heating up, we are eagerly waiting for next week's fixtures. With such talent and passion on display, the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side Football League continues to be a highlight in the local sports calendar.
