Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 9

A flurry of goals and dramatic finishes marked the ninth week of play in the much-anticipated Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side Football league. The competition saw stand out performances in both the Premier League and Division 1, creating an atmosphere of high excitement for all.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Farmers Weekly clenched a narrow victory against Green FC, finishing 2-1. The star-studded Nice To Michu secured a resounding 6-1 victory over Vikings FC, courtesy of an exceptional performance by Jordan Fowler. Fowler netted a total of three goals, making him the division's top scorer this week. In a closely contested game, Parsleys Army edged past Uplyme & Sinker with a 3-2 scoreline, signalling an upward trend for the team.

DIVISION ONE

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Ansu Fatties edged past Anchors Away in a 3-2 thrill-fest, proving once again that every point matters in this fiercely competitive league. Honiton Athletic maintained their defensive prowess with a solid 2-0 victory over The Six Offenders to take the title race down to the last game of the season. The match of the week was The Deans versus The Roy's, ending in a 6-1 victory in favour of The Roy's.

As the season progresses, the level of competition continues to escalate in both divisions of the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side League. We can look forward to more exciting football next week.
