PENULTIMATE WEEK OF 6 A SIDE SEASON IN AXMINSTER

It looks as though our Axminster 6 a side league has new Wednesday night champions as Uplyme & Sinker move out of reach at the top of the premier league. Everything will be concluded next Wednesday but their 4 - 1 win this week is enough to secure the league win this season. Mike Ditchfeild was amongst the scorers for Uplyme this week to extend their lead to 3 points with one game left. Portsmuff were in with a shout of catching the leaders but dropped a point this week in a dramatic 6 - 6 draw with New Potatoes. Harry Clifford netted 5 of Portsmuff's 6 goals but a couple of own goals and contributions from Olie Bailhache and Ty Allen meant in finished all square and Portsmuff's hopes of retaining their title ended. A.I.FC had a good win against Crouch Potatoes, Charlie Gibson bagging a couple in their 5 - 1 win.

Farmers Weekly and Quaresma Balls will be promoted from Division One and both won ell last night. Sam Jaffe scored 2 for Quaresma as they beat The Roys 4 - 1 and Champions elect Farmers Weekly had a brace from Gavin Herrod to thank for their 4 - 0 win over 6 a Cider. 

Thank you to all our teams for being ready on time for their games, we wrap up this season next Wednesday and roll straight into the new campaign on 30th November.
