Our Wednesday night season concluded this week with Portsmuff taking home the Premier League title on goal difference ahead of A.I.FC. Both teams had excellent seasons, picking up 13 points, 2 ahead of Uplyme & Sinker in 3rd. It was closer at the top than it could have been as the new champions slipped up at the end, going down 5 - 3 to Farmers Weekly, a win that kept them in the division, avoiding going from champions to relegated in one season. Crouch Potatoes and NYC FC do take the drop into Division One with only 6 points separating the champions and the bottom side. What a season it has been in this division.
Replacing them in the top flight will be The Roy's who go up with 14 points and our new Division One Champions Nice to Michu who end the season 4 points clear. 6 A Cider came 3rd ahead of Winsham in 4th with Vikings and Put it in Dias propping up the table.
So the two divisional set up is working briliantly, lots of teams with goals to aim for right up until the last weeks of the season. Massive thanks to Lance for manning the game nights and to everyone who has reffed throughout the season.
We restart the new campaign this week and the fixtures will be out very soon.
Well done to Harry Clifford and to Memphis for picking up the golden boot awards, they will be presented along with the league winners trophies and medals this coming Wednesday.
Good luck with the new season guys, lets hope its another close fought season.
