So our Wednesday night 6 a side season in Axminster has just one week left to run and we still don't know who will lift the Premier League title. Farmers Weekly went into last night penultimate round of games with the advantage but came unstuck, losing 5 - 3 to Uplyme & Sinker. Leapfrogging them into top spot are Portsmuff who won well against relegated The Roys meaning that next weeks fixture between the top two is a title decider. A point or better for Portsmuff and the will lift the trophy but if Farmers Weekly can regain their form and grab the win, they will be champions. A.I.FC also picked up a win last night as Nice to Michu prepare for life in Division One.
The Promotion spots are confirmed in the 2nd tier with 6 A Cider confirmed as joining Crouch Potatoes in the top flight next season. Their 4 - 3 win ove Put it in Dias moving them out of reach of Spunk Bubbles who went down 11 - 3 to the Champions elect. For the 2nd successive week Vikings shared the points in a dramatic 3 - 3 draw, this time with table proppers A&C Dads who will be playing for pride in the final week of the season next Wednesday.
I just want to say a massive thank you and well done to Nath our newest official who in just his 2nd week stepped up to supervise the night in the absence of our usual experienced crew. Thanks also to those who helped out with the officiating this week, every now and then you get a nightmare week when more than one of your team are unavailable at short notice and it's really great that everyone just got on with it. Great stuff from all involved, we will be back to full strength next week.
