The Aylesbury Monday 6 a side football league continued last night with an exciting set of matches, providing players with plenty of thrills, spills, and plenty of goals.
The highlight of the night was the Premier League encounter between Aylesbury Athletic FC and Zones of Relegation, which ended in a thrilling 4 - 4 draw. Aaron Baker was the star of the show for the home team, scoring a hat-trick to take his tally to 10 goals for the season, and cement his position as the top scorer in the Premier League.
In Division 1, it was Kroos Control who took all three points, beating Made Up FC 2 - 1 in a hard-fought encounter. Kuran Kundhi was the hero for the victors, scoring the decisive goal in the second half to take his season's tally to five, and claim the top scorer's accolade for the division.
Elsewhere in Division 1, Multiple Scoregasms and Only Put Matip In played out a thrilling 2 - 2 draw, with both sides producing some excellent attacking football. However, it was a case of missed opportunities for both teams, as they failed to capitalize on some good chances in front of goal.
As always, the Aylesbury Monday 6 a side football league provided plenty of drama and excitement, and with several weeks left to play, the race for the top scorer's award and league title is sure to heat up. We can't wait to see what the next round of fixtures brings.
