Our 6 a side leagues at Aylesbury vale Academy really is going from strength to strength!
The beginning of the 11 a side pre season meant some of our top division teams had to leave for their commitment towards their clubs, so we have got to see some new faces over the last few weeks...
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
This week we welcomed a new team with the name Happy Mundy’s and we have chosen to award these guys with team of the week after getting their leisure leagues debut season off to the best possible start and winning their first game 3-1. Of course I know that 3-1 isn’t the most impressive scoreline....however, their opponents were no easy team to beat, especially as convincingly as they did AND on their debut! Very impressive and I'm sure more to come!
PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM AWARDS!
Alex Stepney - Shane Schlong - Alex was key to this game for his team and a goal contribution really was the cherry on the top fo him! He had so much energy throughout the middle of the park, always being the centre of everything!
DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!
They are off the mark! Monday night was the night that Consent City go off the mark in a 1-1 draw to get their first points onto the table. It’s now 7 game into the season but they’ve now ended their winning run, which I'm sure has massively boosted moral in the team and given them something to build on for next week. These guys are Desperate for their first win and this is a massive step in the right direction for them!
DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!
Sam Blake - Consent City - This really was the biggest performance Sam could have given for his team. He really stepped up as captain fantastic to lead by example on Monday night!
Cian Barnett - PinPoint - This was another top performance from another captain, who was without doubt a level above the rest and mostly responsible for another big win, especially with his 3 goals to storm to the top of the Golden boot leader boards!
Jordan Fishlock - Hardly Athletic - Jordan stays clear at the top of the Player of the season leaderboard with yet another incredible MOTM display and of course, another 2 goals!
