Roberts Under 9’s and Consent City in inspiring form!

I know you’ve been seeing a lot of different referees at the league over the last few weeks, but things are slowly but surely all getting figured out.

As im sure you will all know, referees are in short supply at the best of times, but now we have a pingdemic AND people being able to go on holiday for the first time in a while, but fear not, things are almost under control and you will have a new permanent referee VERY soon!

NOW, let’s get stuck into the action from Monday night....

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

What a performance to stun one of our title contenders...take a bow Roberts Under 9’s! These boys did not and were not expected to win this game, as they were up against one of the best teams in the league. However, these boys simply used that to their advantage and came back from being 1-0 down to win the game 2-1. The roar of celebration was clear to hear when that winning goal found the back of the net, but this team were one of the most organised teams of the night and you could really see they weren’t leaving without the win, they just wanted it more!

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

ITS’ HAPPENED PEOPLE... THE WAIT IS OVER...THEY HAVE FINALLY EXPERIENCED THAT WINNING FEELING....Of course no other teams performance or scoreline could’ve bettered this result for team of the week! Consent City are finally off the mark and can scream from the roof tops that they put in an epic performance to come away as winners in a 3-1 win. This was the biggest match of their leisure leagues career to date, you could hear the words “derby day” being talked about amongst themselves and you could really see the excitement and anxiety from both team that were more than ready for this match. Theres no secret here that these lads aren’t bottom of the league by mistake, but ive never seen players give as much as this team did to win that match, that really was 150% effort from every single player, which in some cases, out weighs ability or talent. Incredible performance lads and certainly one to build from!

MOTM AWARDS!

Cian Banert - Pinpoint - Cian with a massive contribution for his team in the form of a casual hattrick, but this was also about general work rate for his team that he provided. A proper captain performance!

Mark Bumann - Overweight - This was a very competitive game that of course only ended 1-0 and I've no doubt that this was largely due to the MOTM with his incredible performance, keeping is net ball free!

Malachi Stephens - Consent city - It was made clear to this team after their game that there were a couple of players all worthy of MOTM and after a discussion it was decided that Malachi should stand tall from his incredible effort throughout the game. This guy is always either on the ball or about to be, unreal work rate!
