Gosport Wednesday 6 a side end of season!

In a thrilling conclusion to the Gosport Wednesday 6 a side Football league, the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 crowned their champions after an intense 10 weeks of competition.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Mash Gobblers snagged the title with a total of 18 points, marking an impressive record of 9 victories throughout the season. They secured their top spot in the final week with a narrow yet strategic 1-0 victory over Suck Umtities, showcasing their consistent ability to remain dominant on the pitch.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the competition was fierce with the title going to Lucky 7. They clinched the championship with a total of 16 points. This division's highest goal scorer, Keenan Smith of Solent United, deserves special mention. Smith scored a total of 2 goals in the final week of the league, boosting his team to a strong 3-0 win over Vicious Villigers. Haven't Jota Clue just missed out on promotion to Solent on goal difference despite a 3-2 win over Heron United on the final day.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Bowen Arrows emerged triumphant with a total of 14 points. They concluded their successful campaign with a close 3-2 victory over Fish Fingers FC in a title decider. The high-scoring match of the week, however, was a 7-1 win by Jewventus over Bikes In Kitchen, setting a benchmark for future contests. In what has got to be one of the closest finishes to a season in Div 2 Bowen clinch the title on goal difference with 3 other teams all on 14 points, Fish Fingers took the second promotion spot on goals scored over Jewventus while AC Me Rollin finish 4th despite also having 14 points.

As we wrap up the final week of the season, we congratulate the winners and look forward to another exciting season of the Gosport Wednesday 6 a side Football league. The skills, passion, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the season by all teams have been commendable. This league truly represents the vibrant sporting spirit of Gosport.

Thank you to Kiefer for running the night this season and to all of our refs and players, also we would like to apologise to end teams affected by poor light last night, this was something that was out of our hands and a complaint has been raise with the venue as they turned the floodlights on far to late.
