Last night proved to be an evening of high-tension football in Gosport as the fourth week of the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side league unfolded with some remarkable results.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The Premier League saw some incredible action, with Baines On Toast delivering a decisive victory, defeating Lucky 7 with a score of 12-1. The top scorer of the division, Harry Draper, was a standout performer for Baines On Toast, netting an impressive eight goals to help secure their win. In another match, The Gentlemen proved too strong for The Villagers, winning the game by 2-0 in a tightly contested match to keep their 100% record going this season.
DIVISION ONE
Moving over to Division 1, Brune Parkians secured a comfortable win against Chairman Supernova with a scoreline of 7-2. However, the match of the day was between Reform AFC and Jewventus, where Jewventus emerged triumphant with a 5-3 victory. Sean Swain Howbrigg of Jewventus caught everyone's attention, securing the top scorer title for Division 1 by netting three goals for his team.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, the football fervour continued with some thrilling matches. Bayern Neverlosen narrowly lost to leaders Bowen Arrows 3-2 in a tense game. Suck Umtities showcased their prowess on the pitch with a 4-1 victory over Queens Park Strangers. However, the highlight of this division was the overwhelming performance by Snatit FC, who defeated Spitroast FC with a 6-0 triumph. Hayden Darcy of Snatit FC emerged as the top scorer of Division 2, scoring two crucial goals.
As the Gosport Wednesday league continues, the football looks set to keep us on the edge of our seats. With more games to come, the competition will undoubtedly heat up as teams vie for top spots in their respective divisions.
