In a thrilling night of football at the Gosport Wednesday League, several teams put on riveting performances in Week 6 of the season. The matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 presented us with a spectacle of goals, skills, and nail-biting finishes.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, The Gentlemen secured a hard-fought 4-2 victory against Lucky 7. The star of the match was Jack Scott who netted twice for The Gentlemen. Unfortunate Murder On Zidanes Floor couldn't make it to victory, losing 3-1 to new team Pad Piece FC in a closely contested match.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the scoring frenzy was led by Leo King of The Backstreet Moyes. King’s masterclass performance, contributing 5 goals to his team's 8-7 win against Brune Parkians, ensured he grabbed the limelight as the division's top scorer. Chairman Supernova and Reform AFC ended in a thrilling 5-5 draw, demonstrating the competitive spirit of the league. Jewventus managed a slender 2-1 victory over Fish Fingers FC, adding more excitement to the division.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, Bowen Arrows had a convincing 4-0 win against Spitroast FC. In another match, Snatit FC edged past Queens Park Strangers 2-1. The evenly fought contest between Bayern Neverlosen and Suck Umtities ended in a 2-2 draw. Bowen Arrows remain top of the table and unbeaten.
